I was the principal of S V P Gujarat Vidyalaya. During my job, I had thought to start a school for the poor and middle class people where they can study properly. Then I decided to open a new school in Bhaarat Nagar because all the students had to go to faraway places to study. They had to pay extra rupees for auto rickshaws. First, I started a primary school in Gujarati Medium in small rooms. Then S R C allotted us a land for school. We built well planned buildings of Saraswati Vidyalaya, St. Mira English Medium School and Smt. V D Thakkar Smt. V D Thakkar B.Ed. College in this area.

I was an assistant English teacher in S V P Gujarat Vidyalaya, Gandhidham. After retirement, I decided to be helpful to the students by sharing my knowledge.After joining in this school, I started many activities especially in our prayer meeting. The prayer of our school is conducted by the students. First of all, an English prayer is sung by the students, news is read by a students, some questions of general knowledge are asked to the students, a speech is delivered by a student, a dialogue is presented by two students, a short speech is delivered by the principal and a national song is sung together after pledge.

I myself Smt. Shashikalaben, the principal of Shree Saraswati Vidyalaya, has been trying to develop the hidden skills and abilities among the students and for that we give so many opportunities to the students by performing many different activities.

There are many students who have got the government jobs after studying in this institution. That is actually a mark able achievement of this institution.
